Betsy Ross House

Underground Museum

Located beneath Franklin Court, the Underground Museum features a variety of items pertaining to Benjamin Franklin. Among these are some of his inventions, as well as paintings and other objects associated with him. In the main room, there is a phone bank with recordings based on the words of such people as D.H. Lawrence and Mozart. A short, 18 minute film is also shown here.

Mummers Museum

The Rosenbach Museum and Library

Cliveden of the National Trust

Originally built between 1763-1767, the house was destroyed in 1777. The cause of the destruction was the 1777 Battle of Germantown. The home is now located on six acres and is furnished with 18th and 19th century artifacts. Items featured in the home are porcelain, paintings, documents and decorative art.

The Fabric Workshop and Museum is the only museum of its kind, offering internationally renowned artists the resources to create new work in experimental materials. The FWM hosts 6 to 8 exhibitions of contemporary art annually, and invites visitors into the artist studios to view the creative process. Recent exhibitions have included Louise Bourgeois, Roy Lichtenstein, and Kara Walker, as well as thematic exhibitions devoted to topics such as artists' wallpapers. The museum also features a range of tours, lectures, workshops, and one of the country's most colorful museum shops.
